This quote reminded me of the words to an old song called Give Me the Strength to Be Weak, recorded by Pam Mark Hall way back in 1980.
Most people hide from their weakness
And pretend they just never do wrong
But I'm beginning to see as you are working in me
When I am weak then you are strong
So give me the strength
Lord, won't you give me the strength
Give me the strength to be weak
Maybe others will see that You're working in me
So give me the strength to be weak
